WSBREC Development Log and Partnerships

         

This section of our website is designed to keep you informed about progress and the institutional partnerships we've formed.  One of the most effective ways that WSBREC has found to bring attention to its collections is through collaborations with academic, cultural civic and professional organizations. 

Below is a list of WSBREC's active partnerships.  WSBREC is grateful to each one of our partners for their support and participation.  We will add to the list as new alliances are established.

Inventory and Appraisal Assessment

To ensure the health of the collection WSBREC engaged the firm of Goldsmid & Allen Appraisers to conduct a formal inventory and appraisal assessment.   The assessment produced a 55-page document, published December 2002.  The document states first and foremost that the collection is in good health and has not been damaged by pests, mold or mildew.  The assessment is a glowing evaluation of the collection and goes on to state, “There is no question that WSBREC is a fine core collection with important sub-collections and fine high spots.  It could become the starter for a major cultural institution.” (Charles Goldsmid and Robert Allen)
